In oncology, genomic profiling makes it possible to trace the genetic-molecular profile of the various tumor forms, giving the possibility of treating patients with personalized therapies, with positive impacts on the duration and quality of life.

NGS technologies, allowing the simultaneous evaluation of various alterations, also play a key role in lung cancer, which in Italy represents the third most frequent neoplasm and the first cause of cancer death, with almost 34,000 deaths every year.

Studies have shown how profiling by NGS for some lung cancers (non-small cell), determines an important reduction in expenditure per patient tested compared to the use of standard techniques; despite this, in our country, patients' access to genetic tests is still limited and suffers from high regional variability.

In the digital event, created by

The European House - Ambrosetti with the non-conditioning contribution of Amgen, which will be streamed on ANSA.it on Thursday 14 October at 3.30 pm
