The Institute for Damage Prevention and Damage Research (IFS) has already examined how quickly electrical appliances in the household can lead to a fire in a cause check in 2020.
The cause statistics show that
32 percent of house fires can be traced back to electricity

Strictly speaking, all electrical equipment is dangerous.
But some household appliances are more vulnerable.
Which electrical devices should therefore be treated with caution?
One is particularly vulnerable.
Home fire: Tumble dryers are the most common danger
The IFS also shows in the previous statistics that most apartment fires start from a tumble dryer.
The institute therefore recommends
installing
a
smoke detector
in
the laundry dryer lounge
.
It is also advisable
not
to leave
the dryer
running
unattended
.
To avoid fires, it is certainly worth paying attention to which materials should not be dried in the tumble dryer.

Devices such as hair dryers, stoves, washing machines and other electrical devices also pose a risk.
Especially with smaller electrical devices, such as the hair dryer or straightening iron, people tend to

to remove
the plug from the socket
.
This can very well lead to an apartment fire.
Another cause can of course be a
technical defect
.
But this is usually only discovered when it is already too late.
