Marcucci: 'The government maintains the line of firmness'. Bernini: 'Do not give in on vaccines otherwise blackmail will start' (ANSA)

For senators without a green pass, the suspension will take effect from 15 October, with the relative cut of the daily allowance.

This was announced in a joint note by the Senators Quaestors Antonio De Poli, Laura Bottici and Paolo Arrigoni.

"The Senate has adapted to the general legislation on the obligation of the green pass - reads the note - From Friday 15 October, the obligation to exhibit the green Covid-19 certification, issued in accordance with the provisions in force, to access the offices of the Senate ". "For the senators who violate the obligation of certification - explain the Quaestors - sanctions are envisaged, including the suspension of up to 10 days, with the relative cut of the daily allowance, which will be ordered by the Presidential Council. The verification of the certification will be carried out through the use of the C19 Verification App with the use of digital devices owned by the Senate of the Republic ".

"On the eve of the entry into force of the green pass, and in the face of the offensive of those who consider it an attack on freedom, the situation must be summarized. Anti Covid weapons are lockdowns, an enormous cost for each country: the tampons that are only needed to photograph the picture of the infections; and vaccines, which are effectively fighting the pandemic and have a lower cost. The national interest is to encourage vaccines, not tampons. For this reason, failure on this front is not allowed, otherwise it would open Pandora's box of blackmail ". This was stated by the president of the senators of Forza Italia, Anna Maria Bernini.

"Our defense weapon is vaccines, the government must insist in this direction. Tampons are not part of the Covid exit strategy. Institutions must maintain a firm line".

This was stated by the senator of the Democratic Party Andrea Marcucci.
