Xi to Merkel, let's not forget friends, the door is always open

(ANSA) - BEIJING, OCTOBER 13 - China does not forget its old friends and the door to the country is always open for them.

This is the message that President Xi Jinping delivered to German Chancellor Angela Merkel, close to leaving the scene from political life, during an interview he had envy-conferencing.

Xi, in the report of the Xinhua agency, praised his role in the development of relations between Beijing and Berlin and, more generally, between China and the EU.

"We will never forget our old friends. The door to China will always be open. I hope you can continue to occupy yourself and support the development of relations between China and Germany and between China and the EU".
