In Borgholzhausen in North Rhine-Westphalia, three teachers were dismissed without notice because they are said to have locked a five-year-old boy in a washroom several times for a few minutes, as reported by WDR.
The German Red Cross runs the Brummihof day care center and argued that the teachers behaved incorrectly towards the boy from a pedagogical point of view.
The daycare manager justified the boy's imprisonment with his behavior.
He is said to have spat and hit more often.
This was agreed with the mother.
According to WDR, the educators want to sue against the dismissal.
The accusation of having behaved incorrectly educationally endangers their professional existence and is not tenable in terms of content.
Some parents have now joined forces to support the teachers.
