In a two-day raid against child pornography, around 60 emergency services searched dozens of objects in Chemnitz, Central Saxony and the Ore Mountains.
In doing so, they secured numerous laptops, tablets, cell phones and storage media, as reported by the police and public prosecutor in Chemnitz.
No one was arrested during the two operations on Wednesday and October 6.
According to the police, the action was directed against 35 suspects aged 16 to 62 years.
The background to this are various investigative procedures into the possession, acquisition and distribution of child pornographic content.
In individual cases it is also about the production of child pornographic photos and videos.
These are to be judged as sexual abuse of children under criminal law, it said.
During the raid, narcotics and three weapons with almost 800 rounds of ammunition were also found in a district of Thermalbad-Wiesenbad (Erzgebirgskreis).
The investigators also searched the apartment of a family in Chemnitz, which was littered and "contaminated with feces".
The youth welfare office was called in and the two five and 13 year old children were taken into care.
