Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte will ask the European Commission to "not approve" the Polish Recovery Plan worth 36 billion euros at least until the issue relating to the ruling with which the Constitutional Court of Warsaw contested the primacy of European law is resolved.
Rutte - according to various international media - has announced his intentions in front of the Dutch Parliament.
The Dutch premier will formalize his request "to the commission next week at the European Council".
The President of the Community
Executive Ursula von der Leyen will
participate on Tuesday morning, on behalf of the Commission, in the debate to be held at the plenary of the European Parliament in Strasbourg on the crisis of the rule of law in Poland.
Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki will also be present at the debate and will release a statement from him.
This is confirmed by Jaume Duch, director general of communications and spokesman for the EP on Twitter, adding that on Thursday the result of the vote for an ad hoc resolution will be announced.
