(ANSA) - TAIPEI, OCTOBER 14 - At least 46 people died and 41 more were injured in a fire that broke out during the night in a 13-storey building in southern Taiwan.
The fire brigade reports.
According to preliminary information, the building caught fire around 3 am (local time) in the Kaohsiung district and 159 firefighters intervened on the spot and put out the flames after almost 4 hours.
According to initial investigations, the fire broke out on the ground floor and quickly spread to the other floors.
The causes are unknown.
