A 13-kilometer time trial, held on the streets of Copenhagen, on Friday 1 July 2022, will open the 109th edition of the cycling Tour de France. It is the second stage race that kicks off from Denmark, after the 2012 Giro d'Italia (departure from Herning). The yellow race will end in Paris on Sunday 24 July on the Champs-Elysees, in Paris. The presentation of the teams will take place in the Tivoli Gardens on Wednesday 29 June. The first two stages will be flat and, after the first three Danish fractions, the caravan will depart from France, to Dunkirk. Longwy is the longest stage (220 kilometers). There will also be a crossing into Switzerland and a return to Alpe d'Huez in the stage with the greatest difference in altitude. The 11th stage, which includes the Col de Telegraphe, the Galibier and the Col de Granon, should be marked in red.
