The hype surrounding the Netflix series "Squid Game" continues.
A real version of the tournament has now been held in Abu Dhabi.
No series is currently streamed as often as the surprise hit
“Squid Game”
from South Korea.
With 111 million viewers to date, the series is the most successful of all time on Netflix * and even overtook the historical drama "Bridgerton".
In terms of content, the thriller “Squid Game” is about 456 highly indebted people playing children's games in a competition for a lot of money - but with fatal consequences: whoever loses, dies.

"Squid Game" in real life: Tournament in Abu Dhabi
Because of the dark story, one would think that the games from "Squid Game" would not be
copied in real life
.
Far from it: schools sound the alarm because children re-enact the violent games in the playground.
And now this: On October 12th, an adaptation took place in the United Arab Emirates.
The
Korean cultural center in Abu Dhabi
recreated the series with a “KCC Squid Game Event”, including
Der Spiegel
reported.
Four games from the series were translated into reality.
But rest assured: no one was injured, of course.
Unlike in the series, there were no real weapons, but toy guns - and there was no prize money worth millions.
In return, both participants and employees looked stylish and wore the typical costumes from the show - white T-shirts with green sleeves and pink suits.
Thank you all for participating in today's event with KCC UAE.

.
As they announced, the aim was to bring Korean culture closer to the people of the United Arab Emirates.
Over 300 people then applied.
To do this, they had to answer three questions about the dystopian Netflix * series using an online form.
In the end, 30 participants
divided into two teams were able to take part.
Among other things, "Ochs am Berg" and "Tug-of-war" were played.
By the way, there was a green tracksuit known from the series to be won in the competition.
