(ANSA) - MADRID, OCTOBER 15 - After two and a half months of continuous decline, for the first time the incidence of Covid infections has slightly increased over 14 days in Spain: from 40.52 per 100,000 inhabitants yesterday to 40 , 85, according to the latest bulletin of the Ministry of Health.
The 7-day incidence went from 17.76 per 100,000 to 18.35.
However, the overall situation of the country remains "low risk", according to the parameters established by the national authorities. Positive news from the hospital front, where the Covid patient occupancy rate is 1.5% in ordinary wards and 4.86% in intensive care, at its lowest for over a year.
At least 86,974 people infected with Covid have died since the beginning of the pandemic.
As for vaccination, 87.9% of the population aged 12 years or older completed the cycle, or 78% of the total population.
Just over 10 million people are left without vaccinations (including children under the age of 12, who cannot be vaccinated for the time being).
About 377,000 people were given an additional dose.
