Johnson returns to London, shocked by Amess's killing

(ANSA) - LONDON, OCTOBER 15 - "I am shocked" by the death of David Amess, "a friend and a kind man".

So the British Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, commented tonight from Downing Street on the news of the death of the Tory MP killed in Essex in the previous hours.

Johnson, who quickly returned to London on the news of the attack against his party mate, at the end of a planned meeting outside the government which took place in the afternoon in Bristol after a period of injury spent in the days spent in Marbella, Spain with his family.
