In the podcast "Lunch with Bruce" 007 actor Daniel Craig told presenter Bruce Bozzi that he prefers to go to gay bars because there is less potential for violence there.
He started doing it as a young man.
The aim was to avoid getting involved in a brawl for one night.
In his opinion, this happens "quite often" in restaurants with mainly heterosexual guests.
"I go to gay bars for as long as I can remember," says the 53-year-old.
"One of the reasons: because I don't get into fights that often in gay bars."
Craig and Bozzi are friends.
The podcast also recalled being photographed hugging outside a gay bar in Venice Beach, California in 2010.
The pictures sparked speculation about Craig's sexuality at the time.
Bozzi is gay and married to Bryan Lourd.
Craig: Meet women in gay bars
The Bond star went on to say that gay bars are a good place to meet women.
Many women were there for the same reason as him.
Craig is a father of two and has been married to actress Rachel Weisz for ten years.
The actor was recently awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The latest Bond film "No Time to Die" grossed $ 313.3 million worldwide so far.
In Germany it had its best theatrical release since 2019, more than two million people saw it.
