Today, about 57,000 male and female students applied for the candidacy test for the General Secondary Certificate exams as a free study in its scientific and literary branches for the 2022 session in 477 centers in various governorates.
The Director of Examinations at the Ministry of Education, Younes Fati, said in a statement to SANA that the ministry has taken the necessary administrative and health measures to ensure the smooth conduct of the candidacy test.
Fati indicated that the number of applicants for the test in all governorates amounted to 56,819 students, an increase of 3629 students over last year's session, distributed between 37,587 in the literary branch and 19,232 in the scientific branch.
The Ministry of Education had set the registration period for the candidacy test between the 19th of last September and the 7th of October, and then reopened the registration door on the 14th of the same month, when the number of registered students reached 1869 in various governorates, according to the Ministry’s figures.
