An earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale shook the Iranian city of Yazdansha, Kerman province, at 3:16 pm local time, the head of the Southeastern Province Red Crescent Society Reza Fallah said, quoted by Irna.
The quake, which occurred at a depth of 10 kilometers, also shook the nearby cities of Zarand and Kianshahr.
"Some old buildings were partially damaged by the earthquake and people rushed to the street in panic. Assessment teams and doctors were sent to the site to find out the amount of damage and possible victims."
