Pink Floyd co-founder Roger Waters got married for the fifth time to a 43-year-old woman who had been his chauffeur five years ago. Waters himself announced his marriage to Kamilah Chavis by posting photos of the celebrations at his Hamptons estate on Instagram.
"I'm so happy, finally someone who takes care of me", commented the singer, 78, in a dig at the previous four spouses: the English ceramist Judy Trim, followed by the aristocrat Carolyne Christie, the actress Priscilla Phillips and filmmaker Laurie, from whom she divorced in 2015.
The two met at the Coachella festival: Khamila was the driver who for two weeks accompanied the musician from the hotel to the concert venue.
They have since lived together in the vast townhouse he owns on 61st Street in Manhattan.
Waters left Pink Floyd in 1985 and two years later lost a lawsuit over the use of the band's name.
He went on to sing classics from the albums 'Dark Side of the Moon' and 'The Wall' and on two occasions, in 2005 and 2011, reunited with the band's other lead singer, DavID Gilmour, and drummer Nick Mason.
The other two historical members, Syd Barrett and Richard Wright, died in 2006 and 2008. (ANSA).
