(ANSA) - ROME, OCTOBER 17 - 'Green' carpet for Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton who presented the first edition of the Earthshot Prize this evening in London, in view of the COP26 conference. The initiative was created by the firstborn of Charles and Diana, together with the Royal Foundation to reward the best solutions to the climate crisis. In recent days, the prince himself had attacked big business figures such as Jeff Bezos, Elon Musk or Richard Branson, urging them to invest resources to "save the planet", instead of wasting them by the billions in the race for space tourism.

An outburst followed by that, as clamorous as it is ritual, of the lady Elisabetta who had beaten those leaders who "talk, but do not do" enough, irritated to the point of indignation in particular towards those who apparently are preparing to reserve the crucial appointment of the CoP26.

And even the outfits chosen for the evening by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were in tune with the environmentalist turn of the British royal family. William left his usual tux at home to wear a forest green velvet suit paired with a black turtleneck sweater. An outfit that iltabloid Daily Mail has renamed in James Bond style. Kate, challenging 10 degrees in London, has recycled a wonderful lilac chiffon dress by Alexnader McQueen that she had already wore in Los Angeles ten years ago, in 2011. (ANSA).
