Please note, in this recipe there is no need to fry the patties in advance and there is no need to cook the pasta separately - everything goes together in one pot.

And if we put the time and tools aside for a moment (and their dignity is in their place), you will find that taste also has no small advantage here.

During cooking, the pasta absorbs directly into the tomato sauce in which the meatballs are cooked and the result is simply overwhelming.

Wait for your kids to discover this pot.

Preparation

How do you make meatballs and pasta in one pot?

  • 1 Put the patty ingredients in a bowl well to a uniform mass, form small meatballs, place on a tray and refrigerate for 15 minutes.

  • 2 In a large saucepan 28/32 cm in diameter, heat olive oil, dry spices and garlic for about a minute, while stirring.

  • 3 Add the crushed tomatoes and tomato paste, mix again and add 3 cups of water, bring to a boil and lower the flame.

  • 4 Add the patties to the pot, shaking it gently so that the patties mix well in the sauce without damaging them.

Cook for about 10 minutes, partially covered.

  • 5 Add the basil leaves and the dry pasta (without pre-cooking) to the pot with the patties and carefully arrange it around the patties with a spoon.

  • 6 Pour the glass of boiling water into the pot, partially cover and cook for about 25-30 minutes until the pasta around is soft, occasionally gently mixing the pasta around the patties.
