(ANSA) - ROME, OCTOBER 18 - "Afghan women speak clearly and claim their right to education. We must stand by their side". Malala Yousafzai, Nobel Peace Prize winner for Peace, writes on Twitter, inviting you to sign the open letter she published together with women's rights activist Zarqa Yaftali and the president of the Independent Commission for Human Rights in Afghanistan, Shaharzad Akbar, in which she urges Italians to guaranteeing girls' right to education, currently denied by secondary school and university, and asks "the G20 and Muslim leaders to act" for this cause.
"Afghanistan is today the only country in the world that prevents girls from studying. All leaders must take urgent and decisive action to bring every Afghan girl back to school", reads the appeal released by Malala.
