This is how we made the Korean caramel candy from the squid game (Jordan Ben Dor)

Caramel, stimulating, contains only two ingredients that are in every home and has a challenge - the delgona, the new star who took over the ticking and Instagram feed for everyone, is a cookie provider, a candy provider, with an addictive and unique texture and we will not run to make it.

The squid game series from the streaming giant Netflix, which soon became the most popular series in the world, never ceases to resonate and with it the interest in Dalgona, a Korean street candy that wins a key role in the series, grows.

On the cookies are embossed shapes such as a circle, a star, a triangle and an umbrella and the competitors must be able to extract the shape in its entirety without breaking them, whoever fails - snatches.

The preparation itself is a bit challenging and sometimes requires several attempts until the perfect result, but do not worry, even if you did not succeed, your fate will probably be much better than that of the participants in the series.

, an amateur cook and one of the managers of the popular Facebook group Hungry in Your Hunger, shared with us a recipe and video including his tips for the sure success of the Korean caramel cookie.

A few rules before you start:

Prepare everything in advance:

An important tip is to prepare all the ingredients and equipment required in advance and within reach (baking paper, cookie cutter, single chopstick, ladle of soup made of metal, sugar and baking soda).

Do not let children prepare on their own

: the hot temperature that caramel reaches can easily cause burns.

The challenge of making the candy sweeps through the ticking of an infinity of curious children who are just waiting to take over the kitchen and want to make it themselves.

Accompany them in the preparation stages.

Preparation

How to make a delgona (Korean caramel cookie)?

  • 1

Prepare all the ingredients on hand at hand:

baking paper spread on the work surface, a cookie cutter, a single chopstick, a ladle of metal soup, the sugar and baking soda.

  • 2 Put 3 tablespoons of sugar in a ladle, place over medium heat and mix with the chopstick until we have a light caramel without lumps (see video).

    Be careful not to burn!

At any stage you can remove the ladle from the heat and mix.

  • 3 Once the liquid and amber caramel is obtained, add the baking soda and stir vigorously while cooking so that the mixture swells slightly (see video).

Again, be careful not to burn.

  • 4 Pour the mixture onto baking paper and wait 30 seconds.

Anyone who has a round weight or wants to flatten it with the help of a metal lid of a jar, can apply a little weight and squeeze the candy to a thinner thickness.

I decided there was no need and immediately went to embed the shape with the cookie cutter.

  • 5 For another cookie repeat all the steps again.

  • 6 Before biting, wait for everything to cool to room temperatures.

  • Tip

    6

    :

If the caramel sticks to the cookie cutter, dust it a little with baking soda.
