An 81-year-old was run over twice by the same delivery truck in Sonthofen, Bavaria, and was seriously injured.
According to the police, the driver of the delivery truck was a parcel delivery man who did not have a valid driver's license.
The accident occurred at the Sonthofen hospital.
The 31-year-old driver of a parcel service drove his car backwards against the 81-year-old.
The car rolled over both legs of the senior.
According to the police, the delivery man got out because he had heard an unusual movement in his vehicle and screams from several people.
Because the 81-year-old was lying on the passenger side between the front and rear tires, but the 31-year-old only looked on his driver's side and behind the car, the parcel delivery service did not notice the accident.
He got back in and drove forward, knocking the 81-year-old over the legs again.
Only then did the 31-year-old realize what had happened, according to the police.
No valid driver's license
The 81-year-old was treated by hospital medical staff and then by an emergency doctor.
A rescue helicopter finally brought the man to the Kempten Clinic.
According to the police, the driver involved in the accident should not have been allowed to drive at all.
He was only able to show a letter from the district office confirming that his foreign driver's license was currently being transferred.
Since the man has been living in Germany since July last year, he was not allowed to drive a vehicle until a German driver's license was issued.
