Use after the collision in Buxtehude

In Buxtehude, Lower Saxony, an 85-year-old was hit by a tractor-trailer and killed.
The man tried to cross the federal highway 73 on foot, said the police in Stade.
The man was taken to a hospital by rescue helicopter, where he later died.
The officials assume that the 85-year-old had overlooked the truck.
The 28-year-old driver tried to evade, but was unable to prevent the collision despite emergency braking.
The operation resulted in long traffic jams in both directions.
