Two months of inhibition for Claudio Lotito and a 50,000 euro fine for Lazio, five months of inhibition for doctors Ivo Pulcini and Fabio Rodia.

This is the sentence of the FIGC Federal Court of Appeal, chaired by Marco Lipari, of the bis trial for violation of the Biancocelesti's anti-Covid protocols last season, after the Sports Guarantee Board had decided to reformulate the penalty of 12 months of inhibition for the patron which had been imposed for the first time by the federal second degree.

A sentence that effectively rehabilitates Lotito to his functions as president, but above all as federal councilor, and which creates 'bewilderment' in the FIGC Prosecutor's Office.

"Incongruous and non-afflictive sanctions in the face of serious violations of the anti-Covid protocols in one of the most difficult periods of the pandemic", the ANSA defined by sources close to the Prosecutor's Office, which awaits the reasons to decide whether to appeal before the College. Following the motivations of the Guarantee College, Lotito had tried to be part of the next council but the president of the FIGC, Gabriele Gravina, had invited him to leave the offices in via Allegri as he was still disqualified. From today Lotito will be able to return to participate, having already served the two months starting from the first instance with a sentence issued on 26 March last. On the contrary, there are over four months of 'pre-offer' left which could also lead him to a request for compensation from the Football Association.

Although the lawyer of the Biancoceleste patron Gian Michele Gentile, invites calm: "Theoretically - he stresses to ANSA - there could be a right to compensation for damage. You can do everything but you have to see the choices of the person: Lotito is a man of institutions, of this institution. Of course, the institution has treated him badly. Technically, we go to the TAR, we have five years ". The facts date back to the two league games of last season, Turin-Lazio and Lazio-Juventus, which had seen Ciro Immobile take the field in the first match (also author of the 3-3 penalty) and Djavan Anderson sitting on the bench against the bianconeri, both presumed positive following several anti-Covid tests.

5 out of 6 points relating to the heavy accusations of the FIGC Prosecutor's Office had dropped out of the Board on 7 September.

For Lotito, today the prosecutor Giuseppe Chinè had requested a sentence of 10 months, too many according to the Court of Appeal composed of different judges compared to the first trial.

"It might not be over here," Gentile specifies.

"The Prosecutor - continues the lawyer - could appeal to the College of Guarantee, but in my opinion he has less chance because he should mostly complain only about the sentence, but only for the sentence you cannot go to the College. Of course, the Prosecutor does not he comes out well and maybe he can insist. "
