In France, the Covid-19 epidemic is no longer slowing down as winter approaches: the incidence rate has risen slightly while the number of hospitalizations and admissions in critical care is no longer decreasing.
However, this situation does not necessarily herald a new epidemic "wave".
The hospitalization rate is increasing slightly, but remains low.
According to the latest report from Public Health France, 6,483 Covid-19 patients were hospitalized in the country on Tuesday, against 6,468 on Monday and 6,629 last Tuesday.
Of these patients, 286 were admitted to hospital in the past 24 hours.
On the other hand, the proportion of patients with severe forms decreases each day a little more: with 63 new entries in the critical care services, 1,046 people are taken care of this Tuesday in these units reserved for the most severe cases.
They were 1049 the day before, 1111 seven days ago.
