(ANSA-AFP) - ROME, OCTOBER 19 - Ecuadorian President Guillermo Lasso has declared a state of emergency in the country after a wave of drug-related violence, and has arranged for the mobilization of the police and army on the road.
"With immediate effect - the president said in a message live on TV - the armed forces and the police will be heard by force in the streets because we have decreed a state of emergency on the national territory".
