VENICE - Venice is the protagonist of a widespread exhibition that 'covers' the entire city.

The open air exhibition is called "Promoting beauty. Venice 1600", has been set up on the walls of the historic lagoon center since 18 October and traces the history of the international promotion of the Serenissima by Enit - the national tourism agency.

The QR Code on the posters will refer to the section dedicated to the exhibition of the tuaitalia.it web-app, where each visitor will be able to view some of the 50 posters and measure his personal knowledge of all that Venice and the surrounding area represent in the tourist imagination. The exhibition is the result of the collaboration between the Authority and three local institutions - the Municipality of Venice, the Ca 'Foscari University and the Venice Pavilion - on the occasion of the celebrations of the 1600th anniversary of the city's foundation.

The material on display was selected from the Enit digital historical archive and includes black and white photos from the 30s, 50s, 60s, historical posters from the 30s to the 60s, covers published in the historical magazines of the Agency from the 1920s to the 1960s.

"The open air exhibition in Venice is part of the project begun in 2019 to enhance the centennial and profound cultural heritage of Enit - explains the president Giorgio Palmucci - consisting of archival documents, real works of art such as prints, lithographs of author and historical relics that testify to the evolution of Italian customs and society ".
