Parent representatives have spoken out in favor of stricter corona measures.
Ines Weber, board member of the Federal Parents' Council, demanded that teachers be vaccinated.
This would have to be "legally stipulated nationwide" by the federal government, she told the newspapers of the Funke media group.
It must be prevented that entire class groups are quarantined or schools are closed.
The Association of Education and Upbringing had rejected calls for teachers to be vaccinated months ago.
Union leader Udo Beckmann pointed out in July that the occupational group had been vaccinated by an overwhelming majority, and that the vaccination quota was in some cases 90 percent.
The federal government also rejects vaccination requirements.
A vaccination requirement is possible in Germany, but rarely.
Since March 2020, proof of immunization against measles has been mandatory for children when they are admitted to daycare centers and schools.
This also applies to teachers and educators.
According to the Infection Protection Act, the Federal Ministry of Health can order "that threatened parts of the population" have to take part in protective vaccinations.
Abolition of the regular corona tests in schools
The president of the professional association of paediatricians, Thomas Fischbach, has spoken out in favor of abolishing the regular corona tests in schools.
"We no longer need the cause-free corona mass tests in schools," Fischbach told the "Bild" newspaper.
Because children rarely became seriously ill with Covid-19.
"What really worries us at the moment: The children's wards are full of very young patients who are suffering from respiratory diseases caused by the RSV," said Fischbach.
Corona cases are the exception.
The huge logistical effort of the quick tests is not worthwhile and often leads to incorrect results
