(ANSA) - ROME, OCTOBER 19 - Over 700 participation applications arrived on the table of Amadeus and the Music Commission for 'Sanremo Giovani': in detail, 649 single singers (270 women and 379 men) were added to 62 groups. Leading the ranking of the regions of origin of young artists is Lazio with 119 requests for participation, followed by Lombardy (104) and, in the division into macro-areas, it is from the South - including the islands - that the greatest number of registrations arrived (242) followed by North (229) and from the Center (209).
Thirty-one, however, those received from abroad. "It's a new beginning and to all the girls, boys and musical groups who have signed up for Sanremo Giovani - says Amadeus - I wish you good luck and a special thank you, for the double commitment they have taken on: that of preparing a unreleased song for Sanremo Giovani and another with which to dream the stage of the Festival. The live auditions of the young artists will be held on 8 November at the Rai Radio headquarters in Via Asiago.The 30 selected candidates will perform in front of the Artistic Commission which will have to make its own evaluations and to these will be added the winner of the Castrocaro Festival, Simo Veludo. At the end of the auditions, 8 groups and artists will be chosen, to be added in another 4 from AreaSanremo. (HANDLE).
