While the Marseille prosecutor's office has opened an investigation for death threats on people holding public authority, the Minister of National Education assured on Tuesday that the target teachers were under protection.
"We have taken protective measures, we will be very vigilant and very firm," he said at the microphone of BFMTV.
On Monday, the national SNES, a teachers' union, had asked the rectorate for protective measures for the targeted teachers, still according to BFM.
A security device has been put in place by the police, the prosecution said at the time.
“The police are at work.
All the hypotheses are open, including something of common law which would have no relation neither with the trade concerned, nor with the subjects of radicalization ”, added Jean-Michel Blanquer.

On October 16, one year to the day after the assassination of Samuel Paty, the couple of teachers found death threats in their letterbox.
This mail is not the only one.
"During the month of September (the) couple received a photo of Samuel Paty, then a letter of death threats," said Marseille prosecutor Dominique Laurens.
"Let the work of the police be done and we will take the necessary prosecution measures", concluded Jean-Michel Blanquer.
