Two ambulance federations that launched an urgent intervention strike a week ago announced the suspension of the mobilization, as of Tuesday 8 p.m.
The National Chamber of Ambulance Services (CNSA) and the National Federation of Health Mobility (FNMS) demanded the implementation of the agreement on the organization and prices of ambulance guards, which they signed at the end of 2020 with Health Insurance, but for which the implementing decree has not yet been published.
After Emmanuel Macron's speech specifying in front of the firefighters in Marseille the implementation of the reform of "pre-hospital urgent medical transport", the two federations exchanged with the office of the Minister of Health, Olivier Véran, indicate -they in a press release.
The latter "assured them of the ministry's full support for the implementation, as soon as possible, of the reform and the forthcoming publication of the decree, in which the two federations will be associated".
A suspension approved at 85%
The CNSA and the FNMS welcome "the will of the State to give satisfaction to (their) demands", which leads them to "suspend the strike movement" from Tuesday 8 pm, they indicate by specifying that "this suspension was approved by their representatives at 85% ”.
Among the other elements of satisfaction, the two organizations welcome "the sanctuary of the ambulance coordinator", responsible for defining the ambulance "deficiency" before a possible use of firefighters.
They welcome the “exemption from user fees and 100% coverage of urgent pre-hospital medical transport”, a measure which must be adopted by amendment during the examination in Parliament of the Social Security budget for 2022. .

Finally, they note that "State commitments have been made on the opening of negotiations on the attractiveness of the profession" of ambulance driver.
“The decree on the reform must be published before December 15;
otherwise, mobilization will resume in an amplified manner, ”warn these organizations.
Launched on October 12, the strike movement of urgent interventions covered "more than 70% of the departments" of metropolitan France and overseas, according to these two employers' federations.
"The State responded with a massive requisition of striking companies, proof if necessary of the usefulness of the ambulance drivers", they had estimated.
