According to the ADAC, a liter of diesel costs on average around ten cents in the Netherlands and a liter of super around three cents more than in Germany. In the Czech Republic, however, fuel costs 44 cents less in some cases, which is why many German citizens are currently taking a trip to the neighboring country. However, you should avoid filling up at motorway petrol stations.
The prices there are generally much more expensive than in cities or on country roads.
As the ADAC informed, an Agip petrol station on the A5 autobahn demanded 30 cents more per liter in August of this year.
It is therefore always advisable to find out about possible petrol stations and their fuel costs before starting your journey.
Another tip: when buying a car, you can already pay attention to a few points in order to be able to save fuel.
Save money not only when refueling: These tips ensure lower fuel consumption
Saving a small amount on refueling is useful, but ultimately only half the battle.
Because the right tires also play a role in fuel consumption.
As rtl.de reports, up to 5 percent fuel can be saved if the tire pressure is right.
Because less rolling resistance also means lower fuel consumption.
