French Apple Pie Recipe: The Ingredients
Portions: for 1 springform pan (12 pieces)

For the shortcrust base:
200 grams of flour
110 g butter
1 egg yolk
1 pinch of salt
2 tbsp ice cold water
For covering:
2 tbsp lemon juice
4 small apples
25 g butter
2 tbsp apricot jam

How to bake the French apple pie
First you knead
the dough
in a food processor or with your hands flour, butter, egg yolks, salt and water to a smooth dough.
Shape it into a ball and wrap it in cling film.
Place in the refrigerator for an hour.
For the topping,
fill a bowl with cold water and add the lemon juice.
Peel, quarter and core the apples and cut them into thin slices.
Put the apple slices in the bowl to prevent them from browning.
Preheat the oven to 220 ° C top / bottom heat or 200 ° C circulating air.
Grease the springform pan with butter or line it with baking paper.

Knead the dough briefly again, roll it out and put it in the springform pan.
Drain the apple slices and layer them on top of each other in a fan shape on the floor.
Let the butter melt and brush the apples with a silicone brush.
