Everyone who has been in a job interview in their life knows this stressful moment, towards the end, when the interviewer asks us: "Do you have any questions?".

After all, on the one hand, we want to show that we listened carefully to every word and piece of information that was passed on to us during the interview and we master the material. But on the other hand, as Adi Ohayon, area manager at Manpower, explains to us, "Asking questions turns the job interview from something dry to something deeper. It is no longer a one-sided meeting. It shows your motivation, self-confidence and confidence. Regarding your suitability for the job and the abilities you will bring. "

So yes, the next time an interviewer offers you the opportunity to ask him something, do not hesitate to be active - it shows him that you are motivated for the job and really interested in the job you are applying for and the organization you are interviewing for.

Your questions actually "complete the package" of the job interview and will provide you with the necessary information for the next step in the process.

But what do you ask in a job interview and no less important - what not?

It is important to ask:

As always, the recommendation is that before the job interview you do a little research on the job and no less importantly, on the organization. That way, when it's your turn to ask something in the job interview, you can be very focused. Go to the website of the organization or company and prepare your questions in advance, so that if the interviewer did not answer them himself during the interview, you will know exactly what you want to refer to him. The exact questions you ask will testify to you that it is important for you to succeed in the job you are interviewing for and this is exactly the moment to leave the interviewer the final impression of you, with whom he will leave the interview.

From the bank of questions you have prepared, choose the 2-3 most important ones, the ones that are critical to you, especially on the following topics:

* The team - how many people is it, what is the hierarchy, who will be my direct manager and who will I report to

* What does the work day look like? Morning begins with a staff meeting, division of tasks and more or is more independent

* What are the future promotion options in the company

* Does the company offer possibilities to develop, such as courses, training programs, etc.

* success metrics role for the organization

* Is it time if the targets and if so, what and how they are determined

* What expectations of the manager / Ethan

And what not to ask:

If this is the first interview in a series of job differentiation interviews, there are issues that should be left aside for later, because raising them at such an early stage may leave a bad impression, as if you are focusing on care and not primarily.

These topics include:

* Working hours and how strict the organization is

* What ancillary conditions are there - subsidized food, social parties, trips and so on

* Holidays, concentrated vacations, shortened working days, etc. (It is important to ask about this later, just not at this stage )

In this case there are also exceptions, like mom or dad who take the kids out of the frames in the afternoon and must from the first moment know if the amount of hours they will have to work is possible at all.

If you give such, do not hesitate to make sure that there is any point in continuing the process of differentiating for the job.

And a few more tips:

* Do not come with a question sheet.

We have in mind the issues that are most important to you.

If you have a serious memory problem, write keywords on a small piece of paper, but in any case do not read questions from the page in front of the interviewer.

* Do not ask closed questions of "yes and no", but questions that are as open as possible.

* Do not ask questions that have some possible correct answers.

Try to be specific, focused and relevant.

* Ask only topics that are as central and major as possible.

* Save the questions until the end of the interview, for the moment when the interviewer will refer you to this option.

During the interview, ask something only if you really do not understand the interviewer's intention.

* Finally - when the interviewer asks "Do you have anything you would like to ask us?", It is important that you answer politely.

This is your brief moment to lead the conversation - take advantage of it.
