The researchers evaluated the data of almost 150,000 study participants from 21 countries, whose eating habits and state of health were analyzed for an average of 9.5 years.
The researchers noticed
that the consumption of a group of foods is associated with an increased risk of cardiovascular diseases

For example, those people who ate more than 350 grams of white flour products per day (about seven servings) had a 27 percent higher risk of premature death from heart diseases such as heart attacks than those who ate less than 50 grams of refined grains per day .
