Salmonella was discovered in the product as part of quality control.

Affected are branches in Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg.

The manufacturer and Norma Lebensmittelfilialbetrieb Stiftung & Co. KG apologize to their customers for the "inconvenience caused" and plead with them not to consume the product in question anymore.

Customers can return the affected product to all Norma branches with immediate effect.

The purchase price will of course be reimbursed in full - even without presenting the receipt.

Only the chopped hazelnut kernels of the brand “magical baking” with the best before date of 11 June next year and lot number L50357 are affected by the recall.

All other products from the manufacturer August Töpfer & Co. (GmbH & Co.) KG sold through Norma would not pose a risk of salmonella.

Not even with chopped hazelnut kernels from other manufacturers.
