(ANSA) - ROME, OCTOBER 21 - 150 people died after heavy rains caused flash floods in two Indian states - Uttarakahand and Kerala - and in parts of Nepal.

In Uttarakhand, the hardest hit, at least 52 victims and dozens of missing people were recorded, all schools were closed and religious ceremonies abolished.
Another 39 people lost their lives in Kerala and 77 in Nepal.
Thousands of displaced people who have been saved, over 1,600 houses destroyed or damaged.
According to the Indian Meteorological Service, the rain is expected to subside in the coming days.
