Women lag behind men in the race for power and career advancement. The historian and academic Alessandro Barbero discusses the subject with La Stampa
. "It is worth asking whether there are structural differences between men and women that make it more difficult for the latter to be successful in certain fields," he says. And, in order to risk being "unpopular", she asks herself: "Is it possible that on average, women lack the aggressiveness, bravado and self-confidence that help to establish themselves?". But getting out of this pattern could be "just a matter of time", continues the academic. "It will be enough to raise a few more generations of aware young people and the situation will change".
Barbero had led the protest of academics opposed to the Green pass.
"I got vaccinated, albeit with some fear, and I have the Pass", says the historian.
But "the rest of my idea is that I don't like the obligation of a Green Pass to access public transport or, worse, to be able to work and even less I like that employers have to become controllers".
