A 72-year-old general practitioner in the Donau-Ries district is said to have issued hundreds of people with a corona vaccination certificate even though they did not receive an injection at all.
After the suspicion became public a few weeks ago, it was clear that many vaccinations needed to be checked.
As the district office in Donauwörth has now announced, almost 300 people have been tested for Covid-19 antibodies so far, and about two thirds of them had negative results.
The people had been informed of the test results, they could report to special vaccination appointments to build up the vaccination protection.
The agency also recommended that anyone with antibodies be re-vaccinated because the tests cannot determine how many doses of the vaccine a person has received.
The family doctor Gerhard H. is said to have made some pacts with patients.
Accordingly, they only came to his practice to pick up a stamp for the vaccination book.
But it turned out that there was also a second group of patients who believed they had been properly vaccinated.
This group may have been injected with table salt.
High-risk patients should also be among those affected.
The police had started a preliminary investigation against the doctor.
