Emilia-Romagna, Lazio, Valle d'Aosta and Basilicata are also added to the Italian regions that turn green

in the updated map on the incidence of Covid in Europe, edited by the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control (Ecdc).

In all, 12 Italian 'green' regions are at low risk of contagion, in

addition to the autonomous province of Trento. Compared to last week,

Friuli instead passes from green to yellow,

reaching in the moderate risk range (between 75 and 200 cases per 100 thousand inhabitants) the autonomous province of Bolzano, Veneto, Tuscany, Marche, Campania, Calabria and Sicily.

The areas with a low incidence of new infections are increasingly numerous not only in Italy, but also in France and Spain.

In the red (between 200 and 500 cases per 100 thousand inhabitants), however, remain all of Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg, Croatia and Finland, but also a large part of Austria, Holland, Hungary and Greece

.

The countries in which the situation is more serious, i.e. where Covid cases are more than 500 per 100 thousand inhabitants, are

Slovenia, Romania, Bulgaria and the Baltic Republics (Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania), indicated in dark red on the map.

Romania and Bulgaria are also the EU countries with the lowest vaccination rates.
