More books freer, back in attendance and turns 20

(ANSA) - ROME, OCTOBER 21 - It turns twenty and returns to the Nuvola dell'Eur, from 4 to 8 December, Più libri piùliberi, the National Fair of Small and Medium Publishing, promoted and organized by the Italian Publishers Association -Aie.

   The most important publishing event in Rome, dedicated exclusively to small and medium-sized Italian publishers, celebrates the restart, after stopping for a year due to the pandemic, with an edition dedicated to Freedom that will see the return of writers from all over the world. Among the first great guests announced: Jonathan Safran Foer, AlessandroBaricco, Roberto Saviano, Guadalupe Nettel, Zerocalcare, ChiaraValerio, Francesca Mannocchi, but also new writers such as Reni Eddo-Lodge with whom we will reflect on which books have freed us, breaking the mold, barriers and taboos. After having explored the concept of collective, personal freedom, the commitment to civil and political rights, the freedom of the press and of expression, this time the demonstration, which has the concept of freedom in its very name,it starts from the fact that it is precisely the books that free us and elevate us. This will be the focus of the Fair also told through the stand of the publishers, the meetings, the readings, the round tables.

    A common thread also recalled in the manifest of the 2021 edition, signed by Lorenzo Mattotti, which sees in the center a cloud transformed into a hot-air balloon with duelectors on board. An image that, as in the finale of Baron Rampante di Calvino, indicates the power of literature to take us in voloverso the territories of the imagination.

    More books freer is supported by the Center for books and reading of the Ministry of Culture, the Lazio Region, RomaCapitale, the Rome Chamber of Commerce, Unioncamere Lazio, and the ICE-Agency for the promotion abroad and the internationalization of Italian companies, with the contribution of Siae and Bnl Gruppo Bnp Paribas.

It has been collaborated with the Institution Libraries of Rome, Atac Company for Capitoline transport, Eur Spa and makes use of Rai's Main Media Partnership.
