In Milan Saul Steinberg, in Rovigo the rebirth of Polesine (ANSA) CREAM - The monstrous in art, the focus on Saul Steinberg, the visual diary of the pandemic with shots of young authors, the story of Polesine's rebirth after the flood of '51: these are some of the exhibitions this week. CREAM - The monstrous in art, the focus on Saul Steinberg, the visual diary of the pandemic with shots of young authors, the story of Polesine's rebirth after the flood of '51: these are some of the exhibitions this week.

CREMA - "Monsters. The dimension of beyond" is the title of the exhibition set up at the Civic Museum of Crema and Cremasco from 23 October to 12 December, curated by di Silvia Scaravaggi: between centaurs and mermaids, witches and spirits, the figures of monstrous in literature and art, from 800 until today, are at the center of an evocative journey divided into 112 works on paper (graphics, books and illustrations), designed to reflect on the potential of the monster as a means to another dimension .

MILAN - From 15 October to 13 March 2022 "Saul Steinberg. Milan New York", exhibition set up at the Milan Triennale curated by Italo Lupi and Marco Belpoliti with Francesca Pellicciari. Among pencil, pen and pastel drawings; works made with stamps and watercolors, paper masks, objects / sculptures, fabrics, collages, alongside a wide selection of documentary and photographic apparatuses, the itinerary tells the multifaceted activity of Steinberg, highlighting the artist's relationship with Italy and with Milan in particular. Also in the spaces of the Triennale, from 20 October to 21 November the exhibition "Refocus.

Visual archive of the pandemic ", curated by Matteo Balduzzi and Matteo Piccioni: the shots of 40 young photographers, all presented (in a multimedia installation conceived and designed by the Dotdotdot studio) in the form of a video projection and accompanied by a sound project curated by Triennale Milano Theater and Radio Raheem and some texts, recount experiences, situations and moods during the months of the pandemic from Covid-19. From 21 October to 28 November at the Francesco Messina Museum the exhibition "Io sono lei", a solo show by Davide Maria Coltro curated by Alberto Fiz. The 25 unpublished works on display (including three Medial Paintings of over two meters, in which the artist produces a constantly changing flow of information) interpret the plastic work of Messina and his muse Aida Take over,étoile della Scala and in the seventies prima ballerina.

ROVIGO - Palazzo Roncale hosts the exhibition "70 years later. The Great Flood", curated by Francesco Jori, with Alessia Vedova and Sergio Campagnolo from 23 October to 30 January 2022. The route reconstructs the rebirth of the Polesine after the devastation of the flood of 1951, in its various economic, social, cultural, tourist components, highlighting what will become the strong points of today for the affected area, from industry, to training to enhancement of the environment.

MANTOVA - The third and final stage of the project "Sewing time. Art as the weaving of everyday life" opens, starring Rosanna Bianchi Piccoli and Antonella Zazzera from October 19 to November 7 at Giulio Romano's fish shops: with the aim to reflect on the theme of art as the weaving of everyday life, starting from the work of Maria Lai, the itinerary includes the porcelain bisque works by Bianchi Piccoli and the copper sculptures by Zazzera, unpublished works or specially completed for the Mantuan exhibition.

CATANZARO - From 21 October to 12 December the Andrea Cefaly Foundation presents "Lorenzo Bruschini - It fell similar to the night", curated by Giuliana Stella at the Monumental Complex of San Giovanni: by Bruschini, who has always been interested in the representation of an inner world in continuous confrontation with external reality, 80 works are exhibited including drawings and paintings made between 2006 and 2021, the artist's book Scendeva simile alla notte and the video-installation Utopia.

MODENA - Six municipalities in the province of Modena (Castelnuovo Rangone, Pavullo nel Frignano, Castelfranco Emilia, Savignano sul Panaro, Spilamberto, Vignola) and about fifty contemporary artists who work in various fields including painting, sculpture, photography, video, installation and ceramics : is the group show in six acts "Ultraromanticismo. The human post, between restlessness and abandonment", scheduled from 17 October to 16 January 2022 and curated by Sergio Bianchi, Alessandro Mescoli, Massimiliano Piccinini, Federica Sala, Laura Solieri and Andrea Barillaro, all of the cultural association Recognitions on art. The exhibition is divided into four macro-themes, identified starting from common visual semantics: "The body", "The landscape / Nature", "The man / Romantic hero", "The unconscious".
