WHO, give vaccines to poorer countries or a pandemic also in 2022

(ANSA) - ROME, OCTOBER 21 - The Covid pandemic "will also drag on into 2022" because the poorest countries do not receive the vaccines they need.

This was said by Bruce Aylward, one of the WHO leading researchers, reiterating the appeal to donate the disease to those in need.

In Africa, for example, at least 5% of the population has been vaccinated against 40% in most of the other continents.

    "I can tell you that we are not on the right track," said Dr. Aylward as reported by the BBC.

"We have to accelerate otherwise this pandemic will go on for a year longer than necessary."
