US comedian Zach Galifianakis became world famous overnight for his role as Alan Garner in "Hangover".
Actually a reason to be proud.
For the time being, however, the 52-year-old is hiding from his sons that he is an actor.
“My kids think I work as a librarian somewhere.
You have no idea, ”he said in an interview with“ Entertainment Tonight ”.
In particular, he doesn't want to show his sons the crude comedy »Hangover«, which was awarded a Golden Globe in 2010.
“You want to protect her innocence as long as possible.
They're still kids, ”he said.
In the past, people would often come up to him and tell him that their children loved "Hangovers".
"And I thought to myself: You're a terrible guardian." His sons were supposed to get a little older before they could see the film.
With his wife Quinn Lundberg, Galifianakis has two sons aged four and seven.
So it shouldn't be too long before the dizziness is exposed.
Son of a Greek and an American
In the comedy "Hangover" after a boozy bachelorette party in Las Vegas, three groomsmen look for the groom they lost that night.
Two sequels (2011 and 2013) could not build on the success of the first film later.
Galifianakis grew up as the son of a Greek and an American in North Carolina and is known as an actor and stand-up comedian.
In his satirical interview series "Between Two Ferns With Zach Galifianakis", Barack Obama was a guest among others.
But Galifianakis also deals with serious issues.
In 2017 the comedian gave a detailed interview to the »Süddeutsche Zeitung«.
In it he expressed concern about the state of American society.
“To be honest, I think our society is mentally ill right now, and the comedians are the smart ones.
Something has shifted and that scares me as hell, ”he said at the time.
