The Bonanza Creek Ranch in New Mexico has been the location for many western films.
Now there was a fatal incident there.
While filming the western "Rust", Hollywood star Alec Baldwin apparently accidentally shot a camerawoman.
Halyna Hutchins, 42, died in hospital from her injuries.
Director Joel Souza was also injured in the incident.
He is in the hospital.
How all of this could happen is not yet clear.
"The Hollywood Reporter" quoted a spokesman for the production company as saying that the gun should have been loaded with blank cartridges.
The investigation is ongoing, and Baldwin has also been questioned.
He appeared voluntarily and left after being questioned.
So far there have been no charges or arrests.
The shooting of "Rust" was interrupted for an indefinite period.
Baldwin is working on the film as the lead actor and producer.
He is world famous for his leading role in "Hunt for Red October" from 1990, among other things.
