Amazon Music is late on the podcast train.
In Europe, the music streaming application has only been able to listen to these audio programs since this spring.
But the American group seems determined to follow the same path as the Swedish Spotify by investing in original podcasts.
Since last week, Amazon Music France has published a
21-day-free
episode every day
, an exclusive documentary podcast created by Pénélope Boeuf.
“Of course, our ambition is to do a lot more original podcasts for France
,” says Craig Strachan, podcast manager for Amazon Music Europe, Australia and New Zealand.
I think we have a role to play in developing this audio format, but also in extending the range of French podcasts by exploring new genres such as sport or humor.
We are in a testing phase where we can try a lot of things and see what works. ”
