The German Red Cross (DRK) has given a key figure in the scandal over syringes filled with saline solution in the Friesland vaccination center only a moderate testimony.
The employee had pointed out a vaccination skeptic and supporter of conspiracy fantasies to her superiors who had drawn up six ineffective syringes.
The job reference of the resigned employee states that she solved the challenges "to our complete satisfaction" and that the tasks were carried out with "care and accuracy".
These formulations correspond roughly to school grades 3 and 4. Under the certificate of October 12 is the name of the local DRK manager who was on leave after the revelations.
It was signed by his deputy.
The DRK district association Jeverland declared that it had issued the certificate "to the best of its knowledge and belief."
Those responsible are also under pressure because they have only partially paid out the personnel costs negotiated with the district to the employees.
However, the Lower Saxony Ministry of Social Affairs does not want to cover the costs invoiced for voluntary employees in the vaccination centers.
