No alert but vigilance.
In France, and in Europe, "we are witnessing an upward trend", "a small surge, not an epidemic wave, a trend of moderate increase" in cases linked to Covid-19, explained Olivier Véran on Friday on BFMTV and RMC.
"It's cold outside, it's wetter, like all respiratory viruses" the Covid-19 "circulates more, we expected", he continued, mentions about "5000 cases per day" currently .

A strong recovery of the virus is not "the most likely scenario" according to him.
There is no “increase in hospitalizations like last fall because the population is massively vaccinated,” he notes.
Olivier Véran calls, however, to “boost the vaccination booster for the elderly and frail”.
"We are at a little over 2 million reminders, we are approaching 100,000 third injections per day, but that is not enough, we have to go up," he said.
"Now is not the time to take away the tools that protect us"
"My feeling is that the time has not come to remove the tools that protect us while we see that the virus is no longer declining," he added, when asked about a possible lifting of the sanitary pass at 15 November.
The National Assembly this week gave the first green light to the “health vigilance” bill, with the possibility of using the health pass until July 31, 2022.

Could the health pass be conditioned on the 3rd dose in the elderly or frail?
"It is not illogical to ask the question of integrating it into the health pass", replied the Minister.
