Evergrande pays 83.5 million coupons and avoids default

   The Hong Kong Stock Exchange opens the session in positive territory: the Hang Seng index rises 0.37%, to 26,114.84 points, on the back of Wall Street gains and the payment by Evergrande, according to the Securities Times. of the 83.5 million dollar coupon on an offshore bond not honored on September 23, through a payment made on the eve of the 30-day grace period before default.

Evergrande rose by 6.98% in the early stages, while the subsidiaries Evergrande NEV and Evergrande Property Services gained 3.21% and 4.03% respectively.
