Now the pharmaceutical company for pediatric medicine has to initiate a recall.

In the case of the neo-angin junior throat lozenges, however, there is now a threat to health.
At least this statement applies to certain batches of the preparation, which comes from the house of the pharmaceutical company Klosterfrau Healthcare Group.
Pediatric medicine affected by recall - stem can detach from lollipop mass
The lozenges (EAN: 4008617157779 / PZN 16599832) are now affected by a recall, and that is the reason: As the Klosterfrau company announced, quality controls found that the neo-angin lozenges can occasionally that the stick can detach itself from the lollipop mass extremely easily.
Due to the easier detachment of the stick from the lollipop mass, the risk of involuntary swallowing or aspiration increases.
A look at scientific portals explains what the latter term means in concrete terms: "Aspiration means the unintentional inhalation of foreign bodies or liquids when breathing", can be read there.

A risk situation for children has only been found sporadically, which is why the neo-angin junior brand sore throat tablets are only being recalled in selected batches, which is limited to the following labels:

As usual, the following also applies in the case of recalled pediatric medicine: If you have already bought the item, you can return it to the pharmacy and receive your money back; the amount is paid by the manufacturing pharmaceutical company.
Meanwhile, consumers are threatened with a price explosion when going to the supermarket in the coming weeks.
Many popular foods are likely to become more expensive.
