(ANSA) - ROME, OCTOBER 23 - British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has returned to ask the British to take the third dose of the anti-Covid vaccine. In a video posted on Twitter, the Prime Minister said he wanted to "underline how important it is to do the 'booster' dose against Covid, when your turn comes. Of course, it is true that almost every adult in this country has already taken the double dose and it is Thanks to this we are able to resume our lives. But we also know that vaccine protection decreases over time, and so people who are more vulnerable to Covid and had the second dose more than six months ago are now at greater risk. The pandemic is not over. and the danger is not gone ".

Johnson then recalled that the winter cold helps the virus, and that winter is a time when the National Health (NHS) is under stress anyway.

"The third dose is as vital as the other two - he concluded - it is the only way to strengthen your immunity, protect the NHS, and safeguard yourself and your family".

(HANDLE).
